generally tips are not included. could have been tax, delivery fee, a mistake, or are you absolutely sure you didn%26#039;t write in the tip when you were signing the receipt?

It could have been a delivery fee or maybe the employee who ran the card is dyslexic and saw a 9 instead of a 6. Call the pizza place to ask.

I would start by calling the pizza place. If they have a delivery charge, they should have given you that information when you called to order the pizza, as they gave you the total due on delivery.

If there was no hidden charge, then the delivery guy could have been unscrupulous, and added his own tip to the ticket. Be aware that once you put your signature on the paper, it can be altered if you don%26#039;t fill in all the blanks. You can stop this by writing on the check %26quot;no tip%26quot; and then be sure to put the total that was on the ticket.

They should never EVER have you sign a paper with one total and then charge you something else on your slip. That is illegal. You are signing to authorize a charge, and if it is not on the slip, then it is not authorized.

Call your credit card company and dispute the charge for the 3.00. They will get their fraud dept on the problem, and it could be bigger than just you.

No matter what.... delivery charge, tip, tire change, no matter what... if it is NOT on the ticket you signed, then you should not EVER be charged for it. That is fraud.

When you sign the credit card receipt, there is a place to add a tip. If you didn%26#039;t draw a line through it and put the total again at the bottom, the delivery person did it for you. Any added tip by the establishment would have been on the bill stating it was a mandatory gratuity.
