How can I rent a house or an apartment in Twinsburg, OH without getting the run around because of po

I%26#039;ve spent the last two years traveling due to work. Needless to say, by the time most of our mail catches up with us, we are already in collections. We always pay online when we can, but there are occassional bills that just can%26#039;t be paid online and somehow just slip though cracks. Now that we are in a position we don%26#039;t have to travel anymore, we want to rent a house and get settled so we can call in a bankruptcy lawyer and finalize the debts to be paid off.

The only problem we are running into is that when our credit gets run, a) we are denied b) they are requesting such massive amounts for the deposits (I%26#039;m talking six months rent as deposit plus rent plus pet deposit) or c) we just never hear from them again... after they take our money for the credit check. This is getting too expensive to keep getting credit checks run if all they%26#039;re going to do is say no or ask for $10,000 in deposit. For that amount, I could easily just get a home loan even with poor credit. Any ideas?

Don%26#039;t live in Twinsburg...it%26#039;s trying to be an uppity town anyhow. I would imagine if you found a house to rent you would be better off. If your renting from the sole owner of the house, I would imagine if you gave them some proof of employment status and monthly income they wouldn%26#039;t be nearly as discriminate as the large apartment corps. are. Try Oakwood, Bedford, or Northfield...they aren%26#039;t as snobby as the Twinsburg folk.
