All they can do is post what is sent to them. They get their information from the lenders. If this info is wrong, it is the consumer%26#039;s resposibility to take it up with the lenders.

The fairness of this is not the issue. It is just the way things have to work. As one person has answered, it would be extremely labor intensive to check out each item that comes in. Literally millions of accounts with several items coming in each week for most of them.

Because they are sent it by the companies wnd courts that you have dealt with. If you find that some of the information is not correct then they then have a duty to have it updated as soon as possible.

When the information is found to be wrong no matter how trivial they then reply not only to you, but to all the companies that you have open accounts with and all thos who have footprints of searches on your report.
