MANY factors go into your credit worthiness. If you frequently run credit checks and have no credit line: it might look to other people who see your credit report - like you have been denied... which is why your record shows %26quot;an inquiry%26quot; but no account%26#039;s being opened or credit extended. Be careful. Frequent credit checks to your record can give you a negative rating even if you have no credit lines open at that time of the record check. You should build up a credit history NOW as you are just starting out on your own and in the future you will need a good credit history: not just to borrow money. But for a good job, to get a good car, a good house, to get any insurance (be it car, life, or home) and money in an emergency.
